New Mexico, is known for producing high-grade,

sugary to coarsely crystalline fluorite (often pale green,

brown, white, or dark blue/purple) associated with barite

and quartz. Active primarily between 1920–1952, this mine

is a significant replacement deposit within the limestone of

the Nakaye Formation.
