is rare from anywhere in the world and

was only found a few times at the 79 Mine during many decades mining here,

mostly on the 4th level of the mine in the 1990s. This is a large, important,

and very attractive cabinet-sized plate of Cuprian Smithsonite from this

locality with the display face of the plate completely covered in translucent,

two-toned, bright lime green and vivid light green, low-profile botryoids

of Smithsonite that displays a captivating resinous luster that almost

looks wet-looking. It is remarkably pristine. The gray matrix beneath adds

to the depth of the green color of the Smithsonite. It's very difficult to obtain

Smithsonite of this quality from the 79 Mine, and as far as I am aware it

has been over 3 decades since any were recovered of quality.
