comprises authigenic, doubly terminated quartz crystals found in

southeastern New Mexico gypsum beds. These unique, often peach-colored,

crystals are found near the surface in areas like Bishop's Cap and Otero County.

They are highly collectible, sometimes displaying fluorescence

and rare colors.
