Stilbite
is a low-temperature secondary hydrothermal mineral. It occurs in the
amygdaloidal cavities of basaltic volcanic
rocks, in andesites, gneiss and hydrothermal veins.
It also forms in hot springs deposits, and as a cementing agent
in some sandstones and conglomerates.
